This weeks work on the short

This week has been pretty hectic. Ive been animating this 8 second shot and it is brutal. I have maybe 30% roughs left and will try finish in the weekend.



we have been putting the first shot together and the way its going is dope! Dane came into the class to check it out and share his FX knowledge. I have high hopes that we will make it in before the deadline.

One of those weeks

You know those days when you do heaps of work, but you get nothing done? Well its been those a week of those. I don't have anything to show, but this week has been full up son. I started work on animating Shot three. Ive done the background for shot two and rough a background for shot three. actually it feels like nothing at all. that will be today's post, Flanders butt.

This weeks work

I forget to post stuff to the blog. So I'm just going to have one post for the whole week and say how I felt about the weeks work. This week was pretty cool, a little sleepy, cant come up with ideas. Brain.exe has stopped responding. Anyway, I'm really happy with the crew and how far we've come. 

Cityscape Thumbnails/Concepts

Here are some Cityscape concepts that I made. We chose the top right one, which is good because it has the cool power poles that lead the eye to the focal point. We were going to have an explosion come out from the city, but the director wanted us to stick to our original idea of a hand bomb thingy.

Here's an Animatic of the hand rising up through the city. I think the timing feels a little fast, I might need a second opinion on it. I like how it turned out, Just need to see if the team likes it as well.

This is the first shots background. I still need to create a few more alternatives. This has a simple style, monochromatic colours with an article copy and pasted from Al Jazeera along some paths in photoshop. looks pretty neato.
